Leading North American toy manufacturer Spin Master has recently announced the launch of a brand new line of collectible figurines based on characters from games developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Studios. This marks the first batch of licensed products introduced by Spin Master for Sony Interactive Entertainment. The series, titled ‘The Shapes Collection,’ features five physical models of game characters inspired by characters from ‘God of War,’ ‘Horizon Forbidden West,’ and ‘Ghost of Tsushima.’ The collection reinterprets the essence of the game characters with highly detailed figurines. The first release is a 6-inch deluxe action figure of Aloy from ‘Horizon Forbidden West,’ priced at $49.99, and includes 12 different accessories such as interchangeable faces, hands, weapons, and features 42 points of articulation. It is now available for pre-order on Amazon, with an expected shipping start in August. Upcoming releases include action figures of Varl from ‘Horizon Forbidden West,’ Kratos and Atreus from ‘God of War,’ and Jin Sakai from ‘Ghost of Tsushima.’ The image above features Kratos and Atreus; below, Varl is on the left, and Jin Sakai on the right. These four core action figures have 31 or 32 points of articulation and come with two to four accessories, all 6 inches tall. Pre-orders will open on Amazon on July 15th, with an expected shipping date in September. Each item is priced at $29.99. It is reported that Spin Master first announced the global toy licensing for Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation games in 2022. The licensed games include ‘God of War,’ ‘Horizon Forbidden West,’ ‘The Last of Us,’ and ‘Uncharted,’ along with other PlayStation platform licenses. In addition to creating articulated action figures, the licensing agreement also covers related plush toys, remote-controlled toys, and board games.
